Self-Love Meditation

Meditation is important because we sometimes lose ourselves in our titles.

Mom. Dad. Grandmother. Grandfather. Lawyer. Entrepreneur. CEO. Associate. Manager. Sales person. Nurse. Doctor. Teacher. Agent. Psychiatrist. Caretaker. Chef. Etc., etc.


At some point, I think that ..

..most of us wake up one morning and ask ourselves, Who am I?

What do I love to do? When was the last time I laughed like I did before I accrued all of these titles?

This is why meditation is important— you peel back all those titles and you find you. When you find yourself, you may feel as though you need to love yourself some more. Or perhaps it's a struggle to find yourself again. No worries, no shame.

You may need to get to know yourself all over again. You may find that you need healing from recent or childhood trauma. You may find that you are burying hurt inside of your busy titles as a way to distract yourself from the root cause. Again—no judgement. No shame. Accept yourself wherever and however you are in this present moment.


Whatever it is, give yourself unconditional love. Care for yourself, you deserve it. We spend so much time trying to manage all the relationships that come with these titles that we forget about ourselves.


Nurture the relationship with yourself.

Meditate and find your true self— ‘the watcher’. As you meditate, Love yourself. Clear away the random thoughts and find the One, the NOW within you who watches those thoughts. Who tells those thoughts to hush.


We spend so much time trying to manage all the relationships that come with these titles that we forget about ourselves.

When you find you within the now, cry if you need to, because tears are healing. The emotional pain that we hold within us makes us sick. Let out the negative and breathe in life. Scream and shout if you have to.

Meditation does not have to be perfect. All it needs is practice. Establishing a simple, daily meditation routine is a key component in leading a healthy lifestyle. You will reap tremendous benefits, as creative energies will blossom from within and your ability to handle life's daily stressors will be greatly enhanced.

You are what you need.
